PA452(CAT: I010686) is a selective retinoid X receptor (RXR) antagonist that blocks RXR-mediated transcriptional activity and modulates downstream retinoid signaling. It effectively inhibits the action of retinoic acid (RA) on Th1/Th2 immune cell development, highlighting its role in immune regulation. In cellular studies, PA452 suppresses troglitazone (TZ)-induced CK13 expression, and at concentrations of 0.01–1 μM, it inhibits RXR activity in normal human urothelial (NHU) cells. By selectively targeting RXR, PA452 provides a valuable pharmacological tool for exploring RXR-dependent signaling, immune differentiation, and retinoid-modulated pathways in both cancer and immunology research.
