Cefmetazolesodium (Cat No.: I004119) is a semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic (antibiotic) with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. Antibacterial properties are similar to second-generation cephalosporins. Cefmetazolesodium prevents the cross-linking of peptidoglycan by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to loss of cell wall integrity. Cefmetazolesodium is indicated for research in gynecology, intraperitoneal, urinary tract, respiratory tract, and skin and soft tissue infections.
