Cefetamet pivoxil hydrochloride (Cat.No:I000455) is a prodrug of cefetamet, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and urinary tract infections. After oral administration, cefetamet pivoxil hydrochloride is rapidly converted to cefetamet in the body. Cefetamet inhibits the growth of bacteria by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Cefetamet pivoxil hydrochloride is well tolerated and has a broad spectrum of activity against many different types of bacteria.
