Abstract:X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was performed on as-received analytical grade Y(OH)3 powder. This report provides a detailed photoelectron spectroscopy investigation such that Y(OH)3 can be properly identified in a non-destructive manner from Y2O3. In addition to the survey scan, detailed charge corrected scans for Y 3s, Y 3p, Y 4s, Y 4p, O 1s, O 2s, and C 1s surface photoelectron signals are reported.
