YM022(CAT: M096944) is a highly potent, selective, and orally active antagonist of the gastrin/cholecystokinin-B receptor (CCK-BR). It exhibits exceptional selectivity, with Ki values of 68 pM for CCK-B and 63 nM for CCK-A receptors, and a selectivity ratio of 186. YM022 effectively inhibits gastrin-induced gastric acid secretion and histidine decarboxylase activation in vivo without interfering with histamine- or methacholine-mediated pathways. In receptor-binding assays, YM022 blocks [¹²⁵I]CCK-8 binding to CCK-BR with an IC₅₀ of 0.73 nM, demonstrating high affinity. Its long-lasting effects on HDC activity and gastric acid suppression make it a valuable tool for gastrointestinal and receptor pharmacology research.
