UPCDC-30245 (Cat No.: I037863) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the bile salt export pump (BSEP/ABCB11), a liver-specific transporter responsible for secreting bile acids into the bile canaliculi. By blocking BSEP activity, UPCDC-30245 is used to model cholestasis in vitro and in vivo, enabling the study of bile acid–mediated liver injury. It is valuable in drug safety and hepatotoxicity research to identify compounds with BSEP inhibition risk. UPCDC-30245 supports investigations into bile acid metabolism, liver function, and mechanisms underlying cholestatic liver diseases.
