Tosufloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It has activity against diverse aerobic and anaerobic bacteria <em>in vitro</em>. Tosufloxacin is also effective against bacterial persisters, showing significant activity against <em>S. aureus</em> and uropathogenic <em>E. coli</em> persisters. As with many other quinolones, tosufloxacin use can be associated with significant side effects.
