Tizanidine (CAT: I003843) is a medication primarily used to treat muscle spasms and muscle tightness caused by conditions such as multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury. It acts as an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, which means it stimulates certain receptors in the brain and spinal cord, resulting in muscle relaxation.
