Nystatin (Fungicidin) is a polyene antifungal antibiotic effective against yeast and mycoplasma.IC50 Value:Target: AntifungalNystatin increases the permeability of the cell membrane of sensitive fungi by binding to sterols. Nystatin induces loss of low molecular weight substances from cells with low selectivity. Nystatin is a cation-selective ionophore that exhibits selectivity for Na+. Nystatin increases the activity of Na+ – K+ pump.
