Neuromedin U, rat TFA(CAT: I046030) is a synthetic 23-amino acid brain–gut peptide belonging to the neuromedin family, supplied as a trifluoroacetate (TFA) salt. Acting primarily through its central receptor NMUR2, Neuromedin U (NMU) plays a pivotal role in regulating energy homeostasis, stress responses, and nociception. It has been implicated in appetite control, gastrointestinal motility, smooth muscle contraction, and modulation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis. In neuroscience and endocrinology research, NMU is widely employed to study neuropeptide signaling, metabolic regulation, and pain pathways, providing an important tool for dissecting brain–gut communication and the therapeutic potential of NMU receptor modulation.
