<span>Natamycin is a sparingly soluble (4.1 mg/mL) fungicidal polyene antifungal.</span></br>Natamycin binds membrane bound ergosterol preventing carbohydrate and amino acid transportation by vacuole and membrane mediated fusion. Natamycin does not inhibit synthesis of ergosterol.
