L-Homocitrulline is an analog of L-Citrulline. L-Homocitrulline naturally occurs in milk products. Current studies suggest that it is the depletion of the ornithine supply that leads to an ehnaced synthesis of L-Homocitrulline. This helps to explain why L-Homocitrulline is found in larger amounts in the urine of individuals with urea cycle disorders. Besides urine, L-Homocitrulline may also be found in blood through quantitative amino acid analysis.</span></span></span>
