Go 6983(CAT: I001260) is a potent, cell-permeable pan-PKC inhibitor targeting PKCα, PKCβ, PKCγ, PKCδ, and PKCζ with IC₅₀ values of 7, 7, 6, 10, and 60 nM, respectively. It also inhibits PKCμ with an IC₅₀ of 20 μM, while other PKC isoenzymes fall within the 7–60 nM range. In rat heart models, 100 nM Go 6983 significantly reduces polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) adhesion to the endothelium, myocardial infiltration, and superoxide release by ~90%. Cardioprotection is greatest at 50–100 nM, while 200 nM maintains PMN suppression but with reduced protective effects. Go 6983 is widely used in cardiovascular and inflammation-related research applications.
