EZ-482（Cat No.:I015596）is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of the apolipoprotein E4 (ApoE4)–heparan sulfate proteoglycan (HSPG) interaction, developed as a tool to study Alzheimer’s disease mechanisms. ApoE4, a major genetic risk factor for Alzheimer’s, contributes to impaired lipid metabolism, amyloid-β aggregation, and neurotoxicity. By disrupting ApoE4–HSPG binding, EZ-482 reduces amyloid pathology and associated neurodegeneration in preclinical models. This compound is valuable for exploring ApoE biology, neurodegenerative disease pathways, and therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating ApoE4-specific functions in Alzheimer’s disease and related neurological disorders.
