ESI-09 (CAT: I002904) is a novel noncyclic nucleotide EPAC antagonist with the ability to selectively inhibit intracellular EPAC-mediated Rap1 activation and Akt phosphorylation. It is also capable of blocking EPAC-mediated insulin secretion in pancreatic β cells. ESI-09 exhibits an IC50 of 1.4 μM for EPAC2 and 3.2 μM for EPAC1, indicating its potency in inhibiting these signaling pathways. By targeting EPAC, ESI-09 holds promise as a therapeutic agent for conditions involving dysregulated EPAC signaling, such as certain cancers or metabolic disorders.
