Dodecanedioic acid (Cat No.: R013948) is a long-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid with twelve carbon atoms and carboxylic acid groups at both ends. It is widely used as a monomer in the production of high-performance polymers such as nylon 6,12 and polyesters, offering excellent thermal and mechanical properties. DDDA also finds applications in lubricants, adhesives, and coatings. In biomedical research, it is studied as an energy substrate in metabolic disorders. Its linear, saturated structure contributes to its chemical stability and versatility in industrial synthesis.
