DNMDP (Cat No.:I015621) is a small-molecule compound identified as a selective activator of phosphodiesterase 3A (PDE3A) in complex with Schlafen 12 (SLFN12), leading to a unique cytotoxic mechanism known as “death induced by survival gene elimination” (DISE). Unlike classical PDE3 inhibitors, DNMDP does not function through cyclic nucleotide regulation but instead triggers apoptosis in cancer cells expressing the PDE3A–SLFN12 complex. This mechanism highlights DNMDP as a promising lead in oncology research, providing a tool to explore novel targeted therapies and unconventional cancer cell vulnerabilities.
