Direct Red 80（Cat NO.:I024728）, also known as Congo Red, is a water-soluble diazo dye widely used in histology and textile applications. It binds specifically to amyloid fibrils, making it a valuable stain for identifying amyloidosis in tissue samples under polarized light, where it exhibits characteristic apple-green birefringence.
