Clavulanate Potassium (Cat No.: I024886) is an oxy penicillate β-lactamase inhibitor composed of a β-lactam ring and a hydrogenated isoxazole ring. It is a suicide enzyme inhibitor agent. Clavulanate Potassium has only weak antibacterial activity but can firmly bind to most β-lactamases to form irreversible conjugates. It has a strong and broad-spectrum inhibitory effect on β-lactamase, not only on the enzymes of Staphylococcus, but also on the enzymes produced by a variety of Gram-negative bacteria, so it is an effective β-lactamase Inhibitor.
