Chlorzoxazone (Cat No.:A000571 ) is a centrally acting muscle relaxant used to relieve muscle spasms and associated pain from musculoskeletal conditions. It works by depressing reflexes in the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain, reducing muscle tone and tension. Chlorzoxazone is typically used alongside rest, physical therapy, and other treatments. It is administered orally and has a relatively rapid onset of action. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, and gastrointestinal upset. Rarely, it may cause liver toxicity, requiring liver function monitoring.
