ABT-724 trihydrochloride(CAT: I010526) is a potent and highly selective dopamine D₄ receptor agonist with an EC₅₀ of 12.4 nM for the human receptor. It functions as a partial agonist at rat (EC₅₀ = 14.3 nM) and ferret D₄ receptors (EC₅₀ = 23.2 nM), while showing negligible activity at D₁, D₂, D₃, and D₅ subtypes. ABT-724 displays exceptional selectivity, lacking affinity for over 70 neurotransmitter receptors, ion channels, and transporters at concentrations up to 10 μM, with only weak binding to 5-HT₁A receptors. In vivo, subcutaneous administration dose-dependently facilitates penile erection in conscious rats, supporting its potential in erectile dysfunction research.
