Ablukast (Cat No.: I021218) is a potent leukotriene D4 (LTD4) receptor antagonist developed for the treatment of asthma and allergic disorders. By blocking LTD4 binding at cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1), Ablukast inhibits bronchoconstriction, airway inflammation, and mucus secretion. Although not advanced to market, it has been widely employed in research as a selective CysLT1 antagonist and as an inhibitor of multidrug resistance protein 1 (MRP1)-mediated transport. Ablukast remains a valuable pharmacological tool in studying respiratory diseases, inflammation, and drug transport mechanisms.
