5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-21H,23H-porphine(CAT: L034557), commonly abbreviated as THPP, is a tetra-substituted porphyrin derivative bearing hydroxyphenyl groups at the meso positions. Its extended conjugated macrocycle and phenolic functionalities make it highly useful in photodynamic therapy (PDT), photosensitizer development, and coordination chemistry. THPP exhibits strong absorbance in the visible spectrum and can chelate a variety of metal ions, forming metalloporphyrins with diverse catalytic and electronic properties.
