Protein Tyrosine Kinase/RTK

Protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) is a key signaling molecule in the signaling pathway that controls cell proliferation and differentiation, which can catalyze the transfer of γ-phosphate on ATP to tyrosine residues of protein substrates. As a kinase that catalyzes the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues of a variety of substrate proteins, it plays a diverse role in human health and development. They have been shown to play an important role in the development of many disease states, including immunodeficiency, atherosclerosis, psoriasis, osteoporosis, diabetes and cancer. PTK can be subdivided into two major families, receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) and non-receptor tyrosine kinases.
