DNA/RNA
DNA, also known as deoxyribonucleic acid, is the main chemical component of chromosomes and also the material of genes. RNA, also known as ribonucleic acid, is the genetic information carrier in biological cells, some viruses and viroids It is a kind of nucleic acid formed by connecting at least dozens of ribonucleotides through phosphate diester bonds. It is named for its ribose content. RNA generally exists in animals, plants, microorganisms and some viruses and bacteriophages. Biology has the characteristics of heredity. The double helix structure of DNA and the rule of base pairing are the molecular basis for the transmission of biological traits from generation to generation. DNA can be copied, and the genetic information can be transmitted to the offspring through the synthesis of offspring DNA; DNA can also transcribe the genetic information carried to RNA, and then transfer the genetic information to protein through translation to complete the expression of genetic information.
