WST-1 (Cat No.:R000824) is a colorimetric reagent used in cell viability and proliferation assays. It is cleaved by mitochondrial dehydrogenases in metabolically active cells to form a soluble formazan dye, which can be quantified by measuring absorbance at 440–480 nm.
