VHL Ligand 8(CAT: I046008) is a synthetic ligand for the von Hippel–Lindau (VHL) E3 ubiquitin ligase, widely used as a building block in the design of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs). It enables recruitment of the VHL E3 ligase to targeted proteins, promoting their ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation. VHL Ligand 8 is a key precursor for the synthesis of ARD-266 (HY-133020), a highly potent VHL-based androgen receptor (AR) degrader that induces AR degradation in prostate cancer cell lines (DC50 = 0.2–1 nM). This ligand is a versatile chemical biology tool for targeted protein degradation and PROTAC drug discovery.
