Val-Cit-amide-Ph-Maytansine(CAT: I040273) is a highly potent cytotoxic payload component commonly used in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) targeting cancer cells. It features a Valine–Citrulline (Val-Cit) dipeptide linker, which is cleavable by lysosomal proteases, allowing for controlled intracellular release of the active maytansinoid warhead. This compound can be conjugated to monoclonal or bispecific antibodies that target receptors such as c-Met (hepatocyte growth factor receptor), enabling selective delivery and cytotoxicity in tumor cells. Val-Cit-amide-Ph-Maytansine disrupts microtubule assembly, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. It is a valuable tool in targeted cancer therapy research.
