Trisodium hexacyanoferrate(Cat No.:M057708), commonly known as sodium ferrocyanide (Na₃[Fe(CN)₆]), is a coordination compound consisting of a ferric iron (Fe³⁺) center complexed with six cyanide ligands and three sodium counterions. It appears as a yellow crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, and is known for its stability and low toxicity under normal conditions. Sodium ferrocyanide is widely used as an anti-caking agent in salt, a pigment precursor (Prussian blue), and in chemical analysis for detecting metal ions. It also finds application in electroplating, blueprinting, and wastewater treatment due to its strong complexing ability.
