Triphenylphosphine oxide (Cat No.:R021654) is an organophosphorus compound with the molecular formula C18H15OP. It features a central phosphorus atom double-bonded to oxygen and bonded to three phenyl groups. TPPO is a white crystalline solid, commonly formed as a byproduct in reactions involving triphenylphosphine, such as Wittig or Mitsunobu reactions. It is thermally stable, poorly soluble in water, and soluble in organic solvents like chloroform and dichloromethane.
