TPA-023B(CAT: I017211) is a high-affinity, orally active GABAAreceptor ligand that functions as a partial agonist at the α2/α3 subtypes (Ki_i = 0.73 nM / 2 nM) and an antagonist at the α1 subtype (Ki_i = 1.8 nM). It also binds with high affinity to the α5 subtype (Ki_i = 1.1 nM) while showing negligible activity at α4/α6 subtypes (Ki_i > 1000 nM). TPA-023B exhibits non-sedating, anxiolytic-like properties in rodent and primate models, with no significant motor impairment or ataxia.
