Ticlatone (Cat No.:R005521), also known as Landromil, is a synthetic antifungal and antibacterial compound once used topically to treat skin and mucosal infections. Belonging to the organic-mercury class, it acts by disrupting microbial proteins through mercury-mediated interactions. With a molecular formula of C₇H₄ClNOS and a molecular weight of 185.63 g/mol, Ticlatone is a yellow to off-white crystalline solid. Though effective, its clinical use declined due to risks of local irritation and systemic mercury toxicity. It is now considered obsolete and used primarily for research in microbiology and chemical biology.
