Thiamine triphosphate (Cat No.:R015232) is a phosphorylated derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1), primarily found in animal tissues, especially the brain. Unlike thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP), which serves as a coenzyme in carbohydrate metabolism, ThTP is believed to play a role in neuronal signaling, ion transport regulation, and energy metabolism. Although its exact biological function is still under study, ThTP may act as a phosphate donor in specific enzymatic reactions or contribute to membrane excitability. Its presence is associated with healthy nervous system function, and disturbances in ThTP levels may relate to neurodegenerative or metabolic disorders.
