Terephthalaldehyde (Cat No.:R049400) is an aromatic dialdehyde with the chemical formula C₆H₄(CHO)₂. It consists of a benzene ring with two aldehyde groups positioned at the para (1,4) locations. This compound appears as a pale yellow crystalline solid and is primarily used in organic synthesis, especially in the production of polymers, ligands, and dyes.
