Sulfo-NHS-Biotin sodium(Cat No.:I044688)is a water-soluble biotinylation reagent commonly used for labeling proteins, peptides, and other biomolecules. It contains a sulfo-NHS ester group that reacts with primary amines in proteins to form stable covalent bonds, attaching biotin to the target molecule. The biotin label enables the subsequent detection or purification of the labeled biomolecules using streptavidin or avidin-based systems, due to the strong binding affinity between biotin and streptavidin. Sulfo-NHS-Biotin sodium is widely used in proteomics, immunoassays, and molecular biology applications for protein analysis and biomolecular interactions.
