Sovilnesib (Cat No.: I036521) is a selective kinesin spindle protein (KSP, also called Eg5) inhibitor developed for the treatment of cancer. By targeting KSP, a motor protein essential for mitotic spindle formation, sovilnesib disrupts proper chromosome segregation during mitosis, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cancer cells. It is particularly effective in hematologic malignancies and solid tumors with high mitotic activity. Sovilnesib has shown promising antitumor activity in clinical trials, with a favorable safety profile.
