Sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfate(Cat No.:M067905)is an anionic surfactant derived from the sulfation of 2-ethylhexanol, followed by neutralization with sodium hydroxide. It appears as a clear to slightly yellow liquid and is highly soluble in water. Known for its excellent emulsifying, wetting, and detergency properties, it is widely used in personal care products, detergents, industrial cleaners, and emulsions. Its branched alkyl chain enhances solubility and performance in hard water. Sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfate also serves in agrochemical formulations and as a dispersing agent. It is generally considered biodegradable and moderately mild on skin, though it may cause irritation in concentrated form.
