Sebetralstat (Cat No.: I036172) is an oral, on-demand inhibitor of plasma kallikrein, developed for the treatment of hereditary angioedema (HAE), a rare genetic disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of severe swelling. By selectively inhibiting kallikrein, sebetralstat prevents the excessive generation of bradykinin, a key mediator of vascular permeability and swelling in HAE. Designed for rapid absorption and action, sebetralstat offers a convenient alternative to injectable therapies. It is currently in clinical development and shows promise for improving quality of life for HAE patients.
