Salviaflaside(CAT: M038737) is a phenolic glycoside compound originally identified in species of the Salvia genus. Structurally, it consists of a caffeic acid ester linked to a sugar moiety, which contributes to its solubility and biological activity. As part of the phenylpropanoid glycoside family, salviaflaside has been studied for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It plays a role in protecting plants against oxidative stress and pathogen attack, while in pharmacological research it has been investigated for potential therapeutic benefits in inflammation-related and oxidative stress–associated disorders. Salviaflaside is also used as a phytochemical marker in quality control of Salvia-based herbal preparations.
