S-acetyl-PEG4-Boc(CAT: I016482) is a heterobifunctional linker containing an S-acetyl-protected thiol and a Boc-protected amine separated by a PEG4 spacer. The S-acetyl group can be deprotected under mild conditions to generate a free thiol for conjugation with maleimides, iodoacetamides, or disulfides. Meanwhile, the Boc group provides protection of the amine, which can be revealed by acid cleavage for subsequent coupling to carboxyl groups or activated esters. The PEG4 chain enhances solubility, flexibility, and reduces steric hindrance during reactions. S-acetyl-PEG4-Boc is a valuable reagent for bioconjugation, drug linker development, surface functionalization, and antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) synthesis.
