RRovanersen (Cat No.: I045369) is an investigational antisense oligonucleotide designed to target and reduce the expression of transthyretin (TTR) mRNA in the liver, thereby lowering the production of both mutant and wild-type TTR protein. This therapeutic approach aims to treat transthyretin-mediated (ATTR) amyloidosis, a progressive disease characterized by amyloid deposits that impair organ function. By decreasing circulating TTR levels, rovanersen may slow or halt disease progression. It is being developed as a potential treatment for both hereditary and wild-type forms of ATTR amyloidosis.
