Remlarsen (Cat No.: I045365) is a synthetic microRNA-29 mimic developed to reduce fibrosis by restoring normal microRNA-29 activity, which is typically downregulated in fibrotic diseases. By modulating the expression of genes involved in extracellular matrix production, such as collagen and fibronectin, remlarsen helps inhibit excessive tissue scarring. It is being investigated for the treatment of fibrotic conditions including cutaneous, pulmonary, and ocular fibrosis. Remlarsen represents a novel therapeutic approach targeting the underlying genetic regulation of fibrotic disease progression.
