(Rac)-MEM 1003 (Cat No.: I007949) is a racemic formulation of MEM 1003, a brain-penetrant L-type calcium channel blocker developed for neurological applications. By modulating calcium influx, it stabilizes neuronal excitability and reduces excessive calcium-dependent signaling linked to neurodegeneration. Preclinical studies suggested potential benefits in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and bipolar disorder, where dysregulated calcium homeostasis contributes to pathology. Although clinical development was discontinued, (Rac)-MEM 1003 remains a valuable research compound for exploring calcium channel modulation in cognitive and psychiatric disorders.
