(R)-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-3-isoquinolinecarboxylic acid(CAT: I000220), also known as (R)-Tic, is an organic compound that belongs to the class of isoquinoline carboxylic acids. It is a chiral building block that is widely used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and natural products. (R)-Tic is used as a starting material in the synthesis of drugs such as ropinirole, a dopamine agonist used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and pramipexole, a drug used in the treatment of restless legs syndrome and Parkinson’s disease. It is also used in the synthesis of various alkaloids and natural products.
