Pyrene (Cat No.: R041841) is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) composed of four fused benzene rings in a flat, planar structure. It is a highly fluorescent compound, widely used as a molecular probe in biochemical and environmental studies due to its sensitivity to microenvironments. Pyrene is also employed in the development of organic semiconductors, photophysical materials, and as a model compound in combustion and pollution research. Its strong π-conjugation enables excellent electronic properties. Pyrene is intended for research applications under controlled laboratory conditions.
