Prussian White is an advanced cathode active material for sodium-ion batteries, derived as the fully reduced form of Prussian Blue with the general formula A₂M’[M”(CN)₆], where A represents alkali metals and M’, M” are transition metals. Its rigid, open crystal lattice promotes rapid sodium-ion intercalation and extraction, while excellent volumetric stability resists swelling, stress, and strain during cycling. Manganese- and iron-based Prussian White variants are especially valued for elemental abundance and high theoretical capacity. A representative Mn–Fe Prussian White delivers 154 mAh/g on first discharge (90% of its 171 mAh/g theoretical capacity) and maintains ~81% capacity after 20 cycles.
