Poly(N,N′-bis-4-butylphenyl-N,N′-bisphenyl)benzidine (polyTPD or Poly-TPD, is a high-performance conjugated polymer widely employed as a hole transport layer (HTL) in optoelectronic devices. With a HOMO level of 5.2 eV, closely matching the work function of ITO/PEDOT:PSS anodes, polyTPD facilitates efficient hole injection and transport, reducing energy loss at the interface. It has been extensively used in perovskite solar cells, significantly improving device efficiency and stability, and is also a strong HTL candidate for multilayer white polymer light-emitting diodes (WPLEDs). Its favorable energy alignment, solution processability, and excellent film quality make polyTPD a versatile material for next-generation photovoltaic and light-emitting applications.
