PluriSIn #2 (Cat No.: I045623) is a selective small-molecule inhibitor that targets stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD1), an enzyme essential for lipid metabolism and membrane biosynthesis. By blocking SCD1 activity, PluriSIn #2 disrupts lipid homeostasis, leading to selective elimination of human pluripotent stem cells while sparing differentiated cells. It is widely used in stem cell research to improve the safety of regenerative medicine applications by reducing the risk of teratoma formation. PluriSIn #2 provides a valuable tool for studying lipid metabolism and stem cell biology.
