PClTO2 is an alternating copolymer composed of benzodithiophene (BDT) and thiophene carboxylate ester units, designed with a simple structure that provides excellent solubility in common organic solvents. Its favorable processing characteristics make it a cost-effective donor material for non-fullerene polymer solar cells (NF-PSCs). A key advantage of PClTO2 is its compatibility with eco-friendly, non-halogenated solvents such as tetrahydrofuran (THF), o-xylene, and 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, supporting greener fabrication routes without compromising device performance. With its balance of efficiency, processability, and environmental sustainability, PClTO2 represents a promising material for next-generation, lower-cost NF-PSC applications.
