PffBT4T-2OD (PCE11, CAS 1644164-62-4) is a low band-gap (1.65 eV) semiconducting polymer developed for high-performance organic photovoltaics (OPVs). It has achieved power conversion efficiencies approaching 11%, driven by its high crystallinity, excellent hole mobilities (~10⁻² cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹), and ability to support thick active layers for enhanced light absorption. The unique positioning of its alkyl side chains governs temperature-dependent aggregation, allowing precise control over polymer crystallization and film morphology. These properties enable optimized donor–acceptor blends with superior charge transport and efficiency. PffBT4T-2OD is a benchmark donor polymer for advancing next-generation, high-efficiency OPV devices.
